Privacy policy

This policy explains what we collect when you visit this website or join the Carriage waitlist, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Carriage is run by Coding Warehouse Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 11913265), whose registered office is at 1007 London Road, Leigh-on-Sea, England, SS9 3JY. We are the data controller for the personal data described here, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

• your name and email address;
• your studio's name, if you give it;
• how many locations your studio has and which booking software you use now;
• the country your request came from, worked out by our hosting provider from your connection (we don't store your IP address);
• the date and time you signed up, and when you last updated your details.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider handles your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or third-party fonts.

Why we use it

• To keep you updated about Carriage. We'll email you about the launch, founding studio places and early access. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time.
• To shape the product. Studio size and current software help us decide what to build and who to invite first. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the studios we're building for.
• To keep the site secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe website.

We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

The website and waitlist database are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. The waitlist database is stored in Cloudflare's Western Europe region. Cloudflare is a US company, so some processing may happen outside the UK. Where it does, it is protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

We only share your data with anyone else if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until you ask us to remove them, or until 12 months after Carriage opens to new studios, whichever comes first. If you become a customer, a separate customer privacy notice will apply.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the data we hold about you;
• correct anything that's wrong;
• delete your data and take you off the waitlist;
• stop or restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
• send your data to you or someone else in a common format.

Email hello@usecarriage.com and we'll reply within one month. Every email we send also has an unsubscribe link.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email everyone on the waitlist.
